Detailed statistics and factual information for all countries of the world is collected on the CIA website. The online version of the handbook contains information on geography, demographics, government, economy, armed forces, telecommunications and the transport system of countries.

Nation Master stats

Often, individual indicators do not make sense on their own. The peculiarity of the site is that along with the ratings of countries on different indicators, it allows to compare online different indices and indicators for any country in the world. The large-scale database of statistics for convenience is divided into categories: “energy,” “democracy,” “migration,” “economy,” “internet,” “political system” and many others. Data for the site are collected from publicly available sources such as the CIA’s World Book, State Census, UN, Navy, World Bank, etc.

Index mundi stats

The website contains economic, demographic, telecommunications, military and transport statistics. The source of the data is mainly the CIA’s guide to the world. The convenient interface allows you to view the ratings of countries online, to compare any four countries on different indicators. The information is presented in maps, graphs and tables.

Interactive map of the world arms trade

The map was created by Google. The map data, which reflects more than a million arms import and export transactions from 1992 to 2010 in 250 countries and territories, was provided by the Oslo Peace Research Institute.

International Energy Agency (IEA) statistics

A database of statistics for the world’s major energy production and consumption, energy research and development costs, CO2 emissions, and an overview of the cost of energy and electricity for industry and private consumers. The data can be viewed online separately for OECD and other countries, or as annual PDF publications. Registration is required to access advanced data and research.

BP statistics

Statistics on the world’s main energy sources – stocks, consumption, reserves and prices. The information is available for download in PDF and MSExcel format.

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) statistics

Statistics for OECD countries on a large number of indicators. It allows you to view both statistics for individual states and regions within the OECD, member countries as a whole and averages.

Statistics from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)

Contains data on the global average price of crude oil, the volume of investments of OPEC member countries in the exploration and production of hydrocarbon energy, the amount of taxes levied on mining. In addition, monthly and annual reports on the main indicators of the global hydrocarbon market are published.

North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) statistics
